Most people already have their New Years Eve planned out, but even fewer have actually made plans on what to wear until now. If you are anything like those people, you are reading this blog in hopes of getting some direction on what to wear for the last day of the year.

Before we venture off into the New Year, we would like to close out this blog with a few of our favorite things from this last year:

Our first pick would have to come from the launch of The Fashion of J Culture. The plaid look of the season came in a time machine from the 1990’s and made its way into the fall/winter wardrobe trends.

Another look in our favorite things would be the men’s trend of December 5ths Oh I Just LOVVVVEEEE A Man In Uniform blog. The military look of this season was ubber haute. This look was sleek and sexy, and it could bend to almost any style of dress. The vintage military jackets were the perfect accent to the Burberry Shearling Aviator Boots.

Last but not least this year for fall/winter fashion weeks, the mens inspired women’s trend became ultra chic. Women took a look into the men’s wardrobe to find inspiration. In turn, the very feminine men’s wear trend became popular. The clothing remained fitted and feminine while the tailored look of a man’s wardrobe was applied.

New Years is a Party, the year’s last celebration. Depending on how late you stay out, The Years First Celebration. You want to end the year off right, and start it off looking your absolute best. So for the last blog of the year 2010, here are a few things that could make you haute for the New Year:

Over Sized Jewlry

Feathered Headbands

The Metallic Mini Dress

On The 12th Day of Christmas My True Love Gave To Meeeeee….Uh Nothing?!

So J Culture fans, it’s Christmas. This is a wonderful time of giving where we get the distinct pleasure of getting our close friends and family awesome gifts. Afterall what gives greater joy than to see someone else with a smile on their face that we put there? The goal is to get someone something awesome that they would love! Only problem is…WHAT?!!! Sometimes it can be hard to shop for the people we love. It can be even harder when there is a budget set in place for whatever the reason may be. So this Holiday Special Spectacular will give you five gifts that will make awesome Christmas presents for your dear loved ones.

Is holiday shopping giving you a headache? Well allow J Culture to lend you a helping hand. After all, it is better to give than to receive and J Culture loves to give! This is especially the case when that giving is in the realm of helpful advice. The difficult thing to do when buying for someone else is imaging whether that gift will need to come with a receipt so that they can return it the next day! The dread of buying a sweater or a eccentric center piece that may be returned is something we all want to avoid. A helpful hint in gift shopping is to stay away from artwork. Artwork is incredibly awesome; however it is one of those things that come down to individual taste. It is best to be purchased or picked out by the recipient. So unless that person has left you every hint known to man, complete with pictures in the windshield and Polaroid’s taped to the back of a cereal box then you best stay away! Clothing is also a touchy subject. It always comes down to style, taste and size.  Unless you know that person extremely well and you have impeccable taste in clothing, you may want to steer clear of buying articles of clothing as presents. So what’s left, well look below…here are some great choices!

1. Bath and Body Works Splish Splash Gift Set: Most people don’t buy a whole set of scented bath  essentials on their own. Things like this are mostly great for gifts. It is also a great gift for those you know that like a light scent. Body sprays, lotions and shower gels can provide a fresh scent without becoming too overpowering!  Only $30 at Bath and Body Works!  http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/
2.A great gift from budgetless for a person who loves to read is the Kindle 3g Wireless Reading Device from Amazon. Kindles are amazing because it is an electronic book. Remember when you were little and fairy tales would involve a magic book with empty pages and once opened you can ask to see any story you want? Well the Kindle will upload any novel or article you would like to read and store it. Instead of having to lug around several books that you would like to read, you could just carry one easy light weight device. Other cool features are touch of a button page turning and a screen that lights up to make it easier to read! Find this cool little gadget at Amazon.com for $139.00

3.Gift Cards: Gift Cards are an awesome gift for the hard to shop for individual. It is possible for you to know a persons favorite place without having a clue of knowing what you could buy them that wouldn’t involve them taking it back. Some people think of money and gift cards as impersonal gifts. However, a lot of people love them because it saves them money. They may want to buy something one day out of their favorite store, or eat at their favorite restaurant and not spend their own money. This gift will save you a headache, and your loved one money! Most places will sell a cute little gift card container that can be  wrapped as a present. These tiny, light weight gifts also can be a cool stocking stuffer!

4.Accesories: I haven’t met a person yet who couldn’t use more accessories. Accessories can make an ordinary outfit extraordinary. It can also give an outfit a totally different look! We have a few accessories that are haute this season. You could try shoulder bags or pairing ankle socks with oversized accessories. Animal printed accessories can spruce up a conventional outfit, also furs and knits (knitted accessories, accessories with knitted embellishments, or clothing that is knitted or with knitted embellishments) are a haute commodity for this winter season.

5.Have a man in your life? You can never go wrong with sports paraphernalia! It is no secret that most men are die hard sports fans. So if you know his favorite sporting team, then how about finding some of the teams paraphernalia.

Want to know where to find these gifts? Try our friends over at bathandbodyworks.com and amazon.com. J Culture wants you to give awesomely cool gifts this season! Our gift suggestions will bring a smile to someone’s face this holiday season.  Remember, J Trends are the best way to be fashionable during the colder season while remaining warm! Oh I Just LOVVVVEEEE a Man In Uniform, Part Deux

So I know you’ve been itching to know the exciting conclusion of the military look from the Man in Uniform Blog. Well here it is, part two of the special edition of J Trends for Men. It’s no secret that men’s fashion moves a lot slower than women’s fashions, and one masculine trend that won’t die is military style. This look is haute and sexy and can make any woman melt like butter on a sweltering Georgia summer’s day. This trend can bring any woman to her knees. The look is so versatile that it works for all style types for men with a few adjustments.
The aviator boots that are also referred to as the combat boots, are a haute commodity this season. The aviator boot has burned up runways from Paris to Milan and every runway in between. Style fashionistas have taken notice of this very manly look. We just couldn’t help but to make this one of the looks of the season. That’s why one of the J Trend for Men autumn/winter foot wear for this season is the aviator boot. The good employees of J Culture have searched all over to find the hottest aviator shoes just for you.  So sit back and enjoy the looks we have come up with for your viewing pleasure.
Again remember that the inspiration for the military look this season was drawn from World War 2, or the forties and fifties era. So one thing you have to do when looking for this shoe, is to think modern vintage. Your goal here is not to look like an actual soldier. Think more of Leonardo Dicaprio from the movie Aviator and less of Sylvester Stallone of Rambo. You do not want to appear to be too “costumie” when trying to achieve this look, this isn’t Halloween. With that said, know that this time period is one of elegance. This is the difference between an officer and gentlemen.  Try tucking away your pant legs in the boot to show off this sexy trend. Take a look at some of the footwear of the season below.

When searching for this footwear, slide on over to our good friends at http://www.neilbarrett.com/ and www.burberry.com to find aviator boots that will cover your feet in ultimate style. J Culture wants to make you haute everyday. Our J Trends are the best way to be fashonable during the colder seasons while remaining warm! After all, J Trends are J Culture!

J Trends for Men: Oh I Just LOVVVVEEEE a Man In Uniform!

Women love a well dressed man and even more so…A man in Uniform! This weeks J Trend zeros in on the Men. We like to be well rounded at J Culture, so of course we had to spend time with the gentlemen. This blog is dedicated to the men who love fashion, as well as the men who need a little help in the wardrobe department. So when J Trendsetters spotted this trend marching up and down the runways from New York to Milan, we knew it would make a perfect everyday fit. This trend is so haute; it is bound to keep you warm from the cold. That’s why the military look this season is our first J Trend especially for men.

The awesome thing about the military look this season is that it works for all kinds of men. It’s a very sexy and chic look that blends in with most style types. Since this blog is dedicated to men, we know that the pieces must be versatile. In meaning, it should be comfortable and I promise we got you covered! The modern spin on this very classic military look is very appropriate for the time we are living in. War is at the forefront, so of course fashion couldn’t move forward without stepping back. A lot of the pieces spotted during fashion weeks are very reminiscent of various military pieces of World War II. Our fashion for men this season reflects the events and war conscious state we live in today. Designers drew upon this inspiration and have reinvented the concept in several styles. So with that said, I introduce a key player in sending this look off without a hitch. Gentlemen of all ages, style preferences and nations the starting player for the fall and winter 2010/2011 season of J Culture’s J Trend for men is a great single or double breasted coat.

So enough talk, let’s get down to business. I know you’re sold on the comfort and versatility of this look. Let’s talk about what to look for and luckily for you, it’s easy.  You want to find a military style coat or jacket to achieve this look. The best color choices when looking for a look that will follow this trend will be Army green and navy and airforce blue hues. Also while looking for this coat, know that the coat can be single or double breasted. More importantly you want to make sure this coat has brass buttons.  Keep in mind that the coat can be belted or unbelted but the most important thing is that it be fitted at the waist. An easy way to get this look would be to purchase a vintage coat and have it tailored with these modern specifications.

To get the coats above, visit our friends at www.RalphLauren.com  and www.burberry.com/.
The next blog will cover part two of this awesome look, the aviator boots which is also referred to as combat boots. Trust me, no look is complete without something to cover the foot! This look will bring you right into the fall and winter of the 2010/2011 season. J Culture wants to make you haute everyday. Our J Trends are the best way to be fashionable during the colder seasons while remaining warm! After all, J Trends are J Culture!
